SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for encoding audio signals. Low-band signal is encoded from a speech or audio input signal to generate a first encoded signal. First encoded signal is decoded to generate a low-band decoded signal. Low-band decoded signal is encoded by a high-band signal having a band which is higher than the band of the low-band signal in order to generate a high-band coded signal. Calculating the energy ratio between the first energy related to the energy of the high-band noise component, which is the noise component of the highband signal, and the second energy related to the energy of the highband non-tonal component of the highband decoded signal generated from the low-band decoded signal. First encoded signal and highband coded signal are multiplexed.
EFFECT: technical result is to improve the efficiency of audio coding.
