FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for forming a spherical fuel cell. Device includes a system for forming an area containing fuel, a system for forming a region which does not contain fuel, and a raw sphere pressing system which are connected in series. System for forming fuel-containing area is used for uniform mixing of powder of substrate for spherical core with particles of nuclear fuel and further pressing of mixture into spherical cores. System for formation of the zone which does not contain fuel is used to make spherical fuel elements from spherical cores coated with substrate powder which does not contain fuel. Raw sphere pressing system is used for raw spheres pressing into spherical fuel elements.
EFFECT: compact design, possibility of automation of operation, increased degree of sphericity of spherical workpieces, as well as increased speed of production.
