FIELD: internal combustion engines.

SUBSTANCE: method and system for controlling operating conditions of a dual-fuel internal combustion engine relates to automotive electronics and pulse equipment. Invention objective is to increase the gas diesel fuel substitution volume to the level of the ignition dose. To this end, according to the method, providing composition of gas-air mixture close to optimum in a wide range of load characteristics, additionally, the intake air flow rate is regulated in all engine operating modes, and the ignition dose is reduced to the level ensuring reliable ignition of the gas-air mixture. Said sequence of actions is implemented as one of possible examples of implementation of proposed system by provision of principle of quantitative control of fuel mixture.

EFFECT: technical result is higher economic efficiency of gas-diesel cycle, improved environmental performance from combustion of smaller diesel fuel.
