FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: method of determining the location of an object and a device for implementing said object are related to the section of physics and can be used in determining absolute coordinates of a movable object relative to a zero coordinate for the needs of direction-finding, measuring distance or speed, determining location and detecting objects. Method consists in that measurement of coordinates of object location is carried out by creation of magnetic field by emitter, its recording by receiver, wherein the emitter is made in the form of three frames, prior to measurement calibration is performed, which is necessary to determine constants, magnetic field during measurement is created rotating, determining the magnetic field parameters at the measurement point and calculating its coordinates. Device implementing the method includes an emitter, a receiver, two generators, a controller, three current amplifiers, two switches, a control panel, a constant computer, induction meters Bx, By, Bz, three synchronous filters connected to each other in a certain manner.

EFFECT: technical result is improvement of speed and accuracy measurements.
