SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to agriculture, in particular, to plant growing. Method includes a system of artificial light insulated from natural light. Information on demand for production of any type of plants grown in a system for growing plants using artificial light, and information on power supply for light source (9) of the system for growing plants using artificial light is received. Operation of the light source of growth medium (10) of plants for growing plants using artificial light is controlled depending on the received information so that production speed of plants (8) grown in the system of the said type, in relation to demand for production and power supply, is optimized. Controller (5) for controlling system (1) for growing plants using artificial light, isolated from natural light. Controller is configured to receive information on demand for production of any type of plants grown in a system for growing plants using artificial light, and power supply information for light source (9) of a system for growing plants using artificial light and controlling operation of light source of medium (10) for growing plants of a system for growing plants using artificial light depending on the information received. System comprises a plant growing medium with light source (9) for supplying light to plant (8) grown in a plant growth medium, and controller (5).
