SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for transfer of cargoes onboard of ship, namely to devices providing vertical movement of cargoes between different decks of ship. Ship elevator with a single-screw drive comprises a cargo platform configured to move along fixed vertical guides, a platform vertical travel drive, comprising a vertically fixed lead screw with a travel nut, drive of lead screw, crossarm pivotally connected with cargo platform and with running nut, power support of lead screw. Ship elevator additionally contains closed-type cable conductors including ropes, tensioners fixed on cargo platform, lower and upper units arranged below and above hoist shaft at extreme positions of cargo platform. One ends of the ropes are passed through the lower blocks and secured on the crossarm on the side of the running nut attachment, and other ends of the ropes are passed through the upper blocks and secured through tensioners to the opposite side of the cargo platform, thus providing its suspension.

EFFECT: simplified design, increased reliability and improved weight and dimension characteristics of ship elevator.
