SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the cosmetic industry, specifically to a composition for dyeing keratin fibres, comprising: (a.) tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane; (b.) at least one amino acid selected from arginine, glycine, lysine, alanine, glutamine, histidine and serine; (c.) a mixture (c1.) of phosphoric acid monoester and alkoxylated C_12-22 fatty alcohols and (c2.) a diester of phosphoric acid and non-alkoxylated C_12-22 fatty alcohol; (d.) water, wherein the composition does not contain ammonia, ammonium salts or a peroxymonocarbonate ion source. Invention also discloses: a method of producing a dispersion containing said composition; kit for dyeing keratin fibres containing the composition in separately packed form and a developer composition containing an oxidant; ready-to-use composition obtained by mixing components of said kit; method of dying keratin fibres.
