SPACE DEBRIS COLLECTION DEVICE Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC B64G1/64

Abstract RU 2694349 C1

FIELD: astronautics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control of approach and connection of spacecraft with space debris (SD). Device comprises a system for fixing SD on a spacecraft equipped with a permanent magnet which is attracted to a magnetic substance (for example, on a surface of a space vehicle) and an electromagnet repulsive (with controlled force) a permanent magnet in the direction of the SD. Permanent magnet is fixed on surface (for example, with magnetic properties) of SD, providing further approach of SD (due to attraction to magnetic substance) from spacecraft. Speed of approach may be regulated by electromagnet.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency and safety of SD collection.
