FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to surface plastic deformation, particularly, to cold treatment of gear wheel rim surfaces. Method consists in that gears forming conical gear of internal engagement are installed in housing with running-in material so that initial value of angle between axes of gear wheels is set more than design by value of (5…9)' to achieve, after running-in design values of angles between axes of running-in gear wheels, torque and axial force are applied thereto, and wheels are running in to achieve values of axial force and angle between axes of gear wheels of preset design values. At the same time flywheels are installed on input and output shafts to reduce effect of random changes of angular velocity on kinematic accuracy of engagement.
EFFECT: result is improved mechanical properties of run-in surfaces in combination with low kinematic error of run-in pairs of engagement.
