FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a multimodal mixture of polymers intended for production of hot-melt adhesives used in packaging, wrapping, thermo-gluing, connection of necks and/or tubes for beverages. Multimodal mixture of polymers contains at least three fractions determined by fractionation at elution with temperature increase. First fraction, soluble at -15 °C in xylene has content of isotactic (mm) triads from 55 mol% to 85 mol%. Second fraction insoluble at -5 °C in xylene or dichlorobenzene and soluble at 40 °C in xylene or dichlorobenzene, and third fraction, insoluble at 70 °C in xylene or dichlorobenzene, at that, said third fraction has content of isotactic (mm) triads from 85 mol% to 98 mol%. Said first fraction makes at least 50 wt% of multimodal mixture of polymers. Content of propylene in each of said first, second and third fractions is at least 50 mol%. Multimodal mixture of polymers has molecular weight distribution (MWD) of 1.8 to 3.5.

EFFECT: multimodal mixtures of polymers according to the present invention, which contain polymers and/or copolymers of propylene, enable to obtain hot-melt adhesives having high, but balanced level of adhesion and rate of setting, as well as improved thermal stability.
