Retaining device has retaining element to protect person from falling from vehicle sleeping place. Besides, retaining element is made with possibility of rotation and/or displacement from initial position to working position for protection of person against falling from vehicle sleeping place. Additionally, the retaining device has a plate-like device which is rotatable and fixed in a horizontal orientation and serves as a lifting device and/or a tabletop in a horizontal orientation.
