SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a polymer composition for producing articles comprising at least one polymer and at least one main type additive, wherein at least one main type additive has a pH value equal to or less than 13 and equal to or greater than 7 when measured in an aqueous solution of 1 wt. % at 20 °C, wherein at least one main type additive is selected from a group consisting of oxides of alkali-earth metals, alkali-earth metal hydroxides, MgCO3, ZnO and Al2O3 basic type, and wherein at least one polymer is selected from a group consisting of polysaccharide esters.
EFFECT: said composition generally exhibits high biodegradability.
