RESCUE COVER Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61G1/01 A61G1/00

Abstract RU 2696758 C1

FIELD: means of individual protection.

SUBSTANCE: application area: invention relates to fireman protective means used in fire extinguishing, and can be used as fireman equipment as individual protective device, as well as a rescue device for forced evacuation of a victim in extreme conditions, in particular during fire and smoke and, in addition, to extinguish the primary appearance of fire, to put clothes on a person. Rescue cover 1 is made in form of elongated rectangle of woven material with fire impregnation, for example, from canvas for tenting with fire-prevention impregnation. At the corners of the rectangle there are four gripping elements in form of slots 31-34 with inserts from reinforcing material for human hand placement. On the upper short side of the coverlet on sling 5 the fixator of the injured person's body is fixed. Fixator is made of slings in form of loop 6 with possibility of changing length. In sling 5 in through holes 71, 72 symmetrically relative to middle line of cover 1, parallel to long side, secured carbines 81, 82 for connection of rescue cover 1 to fireman belt. Carbines withstand static load of not less than 300 kg for 5 minutes with cross-sectional diameter of not more than 10 mm. Victim's feet are fixed by means of through holes 41, 42 in lower corners of blanket. In field condition rescue cover 1 is folded along long side by edges of long sides towards each other and is rolled up in form of roller 13 towards carbines. To reinforce the material of the blanket, to reinforce the short upper side of the curtain and to use the loop with width of 2 to 4 cm, which holds a static load of not less than 300 kg for 5 minutes. Invention solves the problem of creating a multifunctional life-saving coverlet, which makes it possible to use it as equipment of a fireman.

EFFECT: wider range of firefighter outfits, higher safety of firefighters, faster and safer use of bedspread, enlarging tactical capabilities of operational departments of fire protection units, due to possibility of evacuation of people from fire zone and from smoke zone independently by one fire department unit.
