SUBSTANCE: invention can be used when painting articles from polyvinyl chloride. Pigment contains at least one inorganic compound selected from a group of iron oxides. Inorganic compound is provided with a coating containing at least one magnesium hydroxide or oxide and at least one calcium or magnesium salt of stearic acid. Pigment contains from 0.3 to 30 wt. % of magnesium and calcium in terms of total content of elements of magnesium and calcium and from 0.2 to 15 wt. % of calcium stearate and/or magnesium stearate.
EFFECT: invention increases thermal stability of polyvinyl chloride, coloured pigment.
