FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the electrical equipment. In the method of generating mechanical pulses, generating a nonempty subset of statically unstable points on a set of points of the phase plane of the generator and implementation of mechanical pulses generation mode by supply of drive torque to generator shaft such that corresponding to it stationary point is one of points of nonempty subset of statically unstable points. Formation of a non-empty subset of statically unstable points is carried out by forming a non-linear characteristic of magnetization of the generator, which in the region of low currents of the armature winding has a convex downward shape and which has a nonzero residual magnetization flux.
EFFECT: improved reliability of mechanical pulses generation.
