SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the fat and oil industry. Method of extracting crude tall oil from soap, comprising steps of: determining the ratio of raw tall oil content and water content in the soap, determining the amount of acid and water, required for separation of optimum amount of crude tall oil from soap depending on content of crude tall oil in soap, measurement of water content in soap, adding an optimum amount of acid and water to the soap, mixing the added acid and water with soap, resulting in acidified soap and separation of crude tall oil, and extracting separated crude tall oil from acidified soap.
EFFECT: invention increases output of crude tall oil from soap, reduces amount of acid used, as well as corrosion of equipment.
