Method of maintaining a database containing information relating to executable files, wherein the database includes parameters indicating the probability that the executable file is malicious for each executable file, to enable any of the plurality of computer devices to determine whether to identify the executable file as legitimate, including the following steps: using network service obtaining data on executable file from computer device from plurality of computer devices, which executed executable file, use said data to determine parameter, indicating the probability that the executable file is malicious, includes the identifier of that executable file and said parameter in the database and providing that parameter to any of the plurality of computer devices.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of computer system security.
