FIELD: test technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field and model tests of aircraft elements. Method of investigating the model of a laminarized surface equipped with an active laminarization system has a microperforated surface and a boundary layer suction system. Model is installed on a carrier aircraft and a test flight is performed. Model of the laminarized surface is placed on the upper surface of the carrier aircraft having an integral aerodynamic wing-fuselage arrangement in the vertical plane of symmetry of the carrier aircraft in a position coinciding with its centre of mass. Test flight is carried out in range of cruise flight speeds of main passenger aircraft at altitudes from 3.0 km to 11.0 km. Flow stability of the flow on the mockup and streamline similarity at natural Reynolds numbers are ensured by achieving a cruising speed equal to number 0.7÷0.85 of M.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at widening the range of equipment.
