FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for measuring speed of thrown bodies. Inertial method of determining the initial speed of a guided projectile of a rifle cannon, wherein a miniature flywheel with permanent magnets and an inductance coil body connected to the shell of the inductor are used to measure the velocity of the projectile at the initial stage of movement along the barrel cuts. Flywheel is installed on mounting and thrust bearings. Intervals of time between a given number of voltage pulses are taken into account. Value of the projectile rotation speed is used to determine its linear speed taking into account the cutting pitch at the muzzle section of the cannon barrel.
EFFECT: creation of independent method for measurement of initial speed of guided projectiles of rifle cannon.
