FIELD: production technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of graphitized carbon structural materials and graphitized electrodes for electrometallurgical furnaces. In the method of determining core temperature in a graphitizing furnace, which includes measuring temperature simultaneously in three points along the length of the rod-heat conductor from graphite, one end of which is maintained at a constant temperature of 0 °C, and the second one is in direct contact with the core of the graphitization furnace, the core temperature is calculated using the analytical dependence of the formed temperature field along the thermal rod, having the form of a quadratic trinomial T = ax2 + bx + c, based on the measured data. Rod-heat conductor consists of two parts: measuring, providing removal of heat flow, which is in contact with core, along length of which is formed certain regularity of temperature field, defined by ratio:

and cooled, providing required values q - const at each given moment. Measuring part of the heat-conducting rod is made from structural graphite, and the cooling part of graphite of any type may differ from the measuring one in terms of cross-section shape and size, but it is rigidly connected to it in the wall of the graphitization furnace behind the heat-insulating layer surrounding the core.

EFFECT: technical result is simplification and optimization of graphitization process.
