FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to cooling of gas turbine drive. Method of cooling transmission of gas turbine drive and transmission elements instrumentation using cooled air, in which cooling air is directed into transmission housing, controlling air pressure, ejecting cold air, cooling air flow by mixing, transmitting transmission shaft, dividing mixed cooled air stream into two parts, one part is directed along two lines to suction collector of half-clutch of free turbine, the second part of flow is supplied to transmission half-clutch on the other side and then to ventilation of stagnant zones in inner annular space of gas discharge coil, both flows are mixed and supplied inside closed annular space for supercharging of clearances at internal joint of free turbine with scavenging vase. Thereafter, the mixed flow pressure inside the closed annular space is controlled by the outlet valves and the stagnant zones between the volute spacer and the armored wall air venting from the outlet valves are ventilated.

EFFECT: higher transmission reliability is achieved.
