FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention represents a strain of entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria bassiana IC 1530-25-1, a method which includes pre-planting treatment of potato tubers with biopreparation and biopreparation. When the potatoes tubers are pre-planted, the liquid biopreparation used is 1–3 % aqueous solution of the spore-mycelial biomass of the Beauveria bassiana IC 1530-25-1 entomopathogenic fungus strain and nutrient medium components with a titre of not less than 105 CFU/ml. Potato tubers are treated with the above biopreparation aqueous solution once with consumption of aqueous solution of biopreparation 10 liters per 1 t of potatoes. When potatoes are sprayed during the vegetation period with the aqueous solution of the biopreparation, a spore-micellar biomass of the strain of the entomopathogenic fungus Beauveria bassiana IC 1530-25-1 and nutrient medium components with a titre of not less than 106 CFU/ml and water solution of biopreparation 300 l per 1 hectare of potato planting area.

EFFECT: invention allows to protect potatoes from Colorado potato beetle, fungal pathogen Thanatephorus cucumeris (imperfect stage of fungus – Rhizoctonia solani), causing crater rot or black potato scab, as well as stimulates growth of potatoes during vegetation period.
