FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to machine building. Device for mitigation of vibration contains one or more tuned elastic sections and head part connector, adapted to connect device to electromechanical cable component or towing unit. One of the resilient sections is connected to the head part connector by means of the high-impedance material interface. Device is dynamically configured before its arrangement in coverage area of seismic streamer by selection of resilient sections. Method of device preparation includes stages, at which the forces tested in the first selected location of electromechanical cable are determined. Frequency is determined for vibrations caused by these forces. Resilient sections are selected based on said frequencies. Selected resilient sections are connected to the head part connector. Device is placed in the first selected location along the electromechanical cable.
EFFECT: enabling attenuation of vibrations, reduced noise experienced by the component of the electromechanical cable sensor.
