FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used as a test method for asynchronous motors. Method involves loading of the tested asynchronous motor powered from the AC source by the braking torque generated by the loading asynchronous machine operating in the generator mode, the shaft of which is rigidly connected to the shaft of the tested asynchronous motor with a clutch. Stator winding of the load-bearing asynchronous machine is connected to the controlled inverter, the control input of which is connected to the output of the control system, which inputs are connected to output of rotation frequency sensor, connected to shafts of asynchronous machines, and output of voltage frequency computer, input of which is connected to output of controlled inverter. Load torque is created by reducing frequency of alternating voltage generated by controlled inverter. In process of reduction of alternating current frequency generated by controlled inverter, its effective value is reduced to minimum required to create its rated torque on shaft of tested induction motor.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of losses when testing asynchronous motors by mutual load by reducing the actual value of voltage supplied to the winding of the stator of the loading machine.
