SUBSTANCE: present invention proposes a method of providing a controlled access of visitor (2) to building (1). Initially, identification information on the entrance to mobile device (3) of visitor (2) is provided when mobile device (3) is in close proximity to building (1) entrance (4). Mobile device (3) then sends login information to remote server (5). In response, server (5) sends to mobile device (3) information on list of residents of building (1) based on identification information on entry, and mobile device (3) presents a list of residents to visitor (2). Visitor (2) then selects resident (6) from list, and then establishes communication between mobile device (3) and remote device (7, 7') associated with selected person (6). Finally, access provision information is provided to access control means (8) configured to control access of visitor (2) to building (1) through inlet (4). Also disclosed is a mobile device.
EFFECT: providing controlled access of visitors to the building.
