FIELD: geophysics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geophysics and can be used for simulation of physical properties of geological environment. Disclosed is a method of simulating physical properties of a geological environment, involving computer-based separation of geophysical data by ups/downs, which produce an approximate ascending wave field and an approximate descending wave field, creating an area source based on at least part of the descending wave field, and performing, by computer, complete wave field inversion with area source, and determination by objective function of discrepancy between simulated ascending wave fields and recorded ascending wave fields. At that, as a result of the process of complete inversion of the wave field, a final model of physical properties of the geologic environment is formed.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of obtained data is provided.
