Peculiar feature of the invention is that the method of recording sounds of a tempered system includes sound carriers with symbols for indicating sounds, note that the sound carriers are single-line, with vertical marking applied on them, which step corresponds to the shortest sound duration, and symbols for designating sounds from "C" to "B" are represented by certain colors, wherein the same sounds (notes) of different octaves (registers) have different intensity of coloring of the same color and occupy one or several steps of vertical marking in accordance with the duration of sound.

EFFECT: invention solves problem of simplifying perception of recorded works.
