FIELD: automotive industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the automotive industry. In pneumatic tire having carcass layer (4) installed between pair of beads (3) of tire. Carcass layer (4) includes as frame cords a plurality of composite cords (20) made of polyethylene terephthalate fiber thread having fineness of 420 dtex to 1,200 dtex, and an aromatic polyamide fiber thread having fineness of 520 dtex to 1,200 dtex, and having a total fineness of 940 dtex to 2,400 dtex and a torsion factor K ranging from 1,600 to 2,400. Composite cords have an intermediate elongation in range of 2.0 % to 4.5 % with load of 2.0 cN, have a dimensional stability index of 2.5 % to 6.0 %, which is sum of degree of dry heat-shrinkage at 150 °C and intermediate elongation at load of 2.0 cN, and have ratio of initial modulus of elasticity M1 at 100 °C at load in range from 0 N to 44 N to initial modulus of elasticity M0 at 25 °C at load in range from 0 N to 44 N, and this ratio is in range from 76 % to 94 %.
EFFECT: reduction of tire weight with preservation of good steering stability and good rolling resistance.
