SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a diethylamine solvate of formula (I) applicable in medicine and pharmaceutical industry:

having one molecule of diethylamine per one molecule of the compound of formula (I), a composition based thereon, a method for production thereof and inhibition of sodium-dependent glucose cotransporter cells (SGLT) with use thereof for treating diseases. Disclosed method of producing involves bringing the compound of formula (I) into contact with diethylamine, adding an anti-solvent to cloud solution, or adding a seed crystal, or their combination, then continuing precipitation of the crystal, separation of solid and liquid phases to obtain a diethylamine solvate of the compound of formula (I).
EFFECT: disclosed is a novel solid solvate, an SGLT inhibitor effective for preparing a medicament for treating or delaying the development of diabetes, diabetic retinopathy, diabetic neuropathy, diabetic nephropathy, insulin resistance, hyperglycaemia, hyperinsulinemia, high levels of fatty acids or glycerol, hyperlipidaemia, obesity, hypertriglyceridemia, metabolic syndrome, complications of diabetes, atherosclerosis and hypertension.
