SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of antennas for wireless communication. Method of impedance matching includes the following stages: measuring, by means of a power detector, initial antenna reflection loss, wherein the initial reflection loss corresponds to a component of the magnitude of the reflection coefficient of the antenna; measuring, by means of a power detector, first adjusted antenna reflection loss after adjusting the antenna impedance by the first tunable element, wherein the antenna impedance matches the impedance between the power detector and said antenna; estimating, by means of a diagram of the Smith diagram, a phase component of the reflection coefficient of said antenna based on at least initial reflection loss and first adjusted reflection loss; impedance matching element is controlled by impedance of antenna based on component of magnitude and phase component.

EFFECT: facilitating implementation of tuning of antenna with feedback due to repeated use of processor of applications/processor of modem as controller with feedback, reuse of power detection circuit.
