Digital voice input can be received through a microphone. Natural language processing can be performed using voice input to detect a user's voice command. User voice command may include a request to execute an application task. Application may be instructed to execute the task as a background process without the user interface of the application. User interface of the digital personal assistant can provide a user with a response based on the received state associated with the task, so that the response occurs in the context of the user interface of the digital personal assistant without demonstrating the user interface of the application.
EFFECT: technical result is possibility of performing task in digital assistant without monitor.
