FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transport and can be used in transport devices for electric start-up of internal combustion engine (ICE). Starter-generator with differential electric drive comprises synchronous reactive machine of independent excitation and differential reduction gear electrically connected to control system and on-board power supply source; starter-generator operation modes setting unit, two-channel control system and two converters; differential planetary reduction gear comprising a sun gear, a carrier with satellites and an epicycle, on the shaft of which there is a mechanical brake. Between the epicycle shaft and the sun gear a friction clutch is installed; shaft of sun gear is mechanically connected to the shaft of synchronous reactive machine of independent excitation, and carrier shaft – to crankshaft of internal combustion engine. Stator windings of synchronous reactive machine of independent excitation are connected to output power clamps of the first converter, input channels of which are connected to output terminals of the first channel of control system; output clamps of the second channel of the control system are connected to input terminals of the second converter, and output clamps of the second converter are electrically connected to the mechanical brake and the friction clutch of the reduction gear. Input terminals of the control system are connected to the operating conditions setting unit. Besides, flywheel is additionally installed on epicycle shaft. In the method of controlling a starter-generator with a differential electric drive, at first, a mechanical brake is actuated, and a friction clutch between the sun gear and the carrier is switched off; using the first converter of the electrical machine, increasing the angular velocity of the crankshaft of the internal combustion engine according to a predetermined law to a value corresponding to the stable operating mode of the internal combustion engine; after internal combustion engine start-up, mechanical brake is disconnected, second transducer is acted on differential planetary reduction gear to synchronize angular speeds of sun gear shafts and carrier; then using second converter includes friction coupling between epicycle and sun gear, locking all links of differential planetary gear and thus turning starter-generator into on-board network generator mode. Besides, first, with mechanical brake and friction clutch disengaged, mechanical energy is stored in flywheel by accelerating it with synchronous independent excitation machine to preset angular speed, then, synchronous independent excitation reaction machine is braked, moment is created for start-up of internal combustion engine on its shaft, and after reduction of angular speed of flywheel to zero mechanical brake is switched on and start-up of internal combustion engine is continued. Additionally, with internal combustion engine operating, acting on magnetic flux of synchronous reactive machine of independent excitation, reducing its electromotive force of rotation, is converted from generator to engine mode and thereby creating additional torque moment on crankshaft of internal combustion engine.
EFFECT: possibility of increasing the value of the starting torque on the ICE crankshaft shaft.
