SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing at least one oxidation product selected from a group consisting of acrolein and acrylic acid, when using a fixed bed reactor filled with a gas phase oxidation catalyst by subjecting at least one source gas selected from a group consisting of propylene and acrolein, reaction of contact oxidation in gaseous phase, along with provision of contact of heating medium with reactor with fixed bed or circulation through reactor and heating of reactor with fixed bed, where the temperature of the heating medium, when the load is maximum during the restart period after stopping, is controlled to be lower than the temperature of the heating medium when the load is maximum in the initial starting period.
EFFECT: this method can partially solve problems with regard to deterioration of the gas phase oxidation catalyst and uncontrolled reaction in the restart period after stopping and can enable the reaction to proceed in a stable state.
