FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing vinyl aromatic hydrocarbons of dehydrogenation of corresponding alkyl aromatic hydrocarbons. Vinyl aromatic hydrocarbons are obtained via dehydrogenation of the corresponding alkylaromatic hydrocarbons in the presence of water vapor on the fixed catalyst bed in two steps. Stages are arranged in series. Reaction flow is heated between stages. Volume of catalyst at 2nd stage of dehydrogenation in 1.05÷1.90 times greater than volume of catalyst at the first stage. Dehydrogenation at the second stage is carried out in two parallel apparatuses.
EFFECT: high efficiency of processes for producing vinyl aromatic compounds.
