FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: to reduce or eliminate potential risk of heat damage in the absence of cooling jackets during connection of sections of lined pipeline, each section (3, 5) of lined pipeline is equipped with insulating bushing (23, 25), which is located between main pipe (7, 9) and corresponding lining (11, 13). Bushings provide discrete thermal protection for the ends of the lining tubes and, where applicable, for the welded seams of the electric smelting between electrofusion fitting (15) and lining (11, 13). Bushings (23, 25) are first placed on the ends of main pipes (7, 9), which are then lined by drawing lining pipes (11, 13) along them through a squeezing matrix to reduce the outer diameter of the lining tubes. Then the refractory lining is restored to its original dimensions, which results in dense fit along internal surface of the main pipes and insulating bushings, as a result of which the insulating material is compressed.
EFFECT: group of inventions is related to construction of underwater pipelines.
