FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: method includes installation of a mechanized cartridge with variable cam movement on the machine spindle, installation of the front thrust center in the cartridge, installation of rear thrust center in quill of rear headstock of machine and installation of billet with center holes on front and rear thrust centers. Further, the cams are pressed to the fixed surface, and after the said clamping by all cams, the billet is simultaneously fixed.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of the method and accuracy of installation.
