FIELD: defense equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to defense equipment and is used in multi-purpose surface-to-air missile systems of medium range of action using guided homing heads in guided missiles. Multifunctional radar station comprises a radio transmitting device of a viewing channel and a radio transmitting device of an illumination channel, the outputs of which are connected to inputs of a phased antenna array, the output of which is connected to the input of a microwave receiving device, a control system, a signal processor for processing received signals, the output of which is connected to the input of the control system, decoder, switch, heterodyne illumination signal generator, recording system and operator indicator. Additionally introduced are a signal splitter, a second switch, a passive mode signal processor, a variable delay device, a third switch and an active/passive mode control system with an input/output port.
EFFECT: possibility of conducting both active operation with radiation and passive operation in objects with complete radio silence until the beginning of target illumination after missile launching.
