FIELD: crushing or grinding of various materials.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed group of inventions relates to regeneration of molding sand. Method for recovery of molding sand involves removal of metal powder and metal fragments by means of magnetic compartment using first magnetic flux density and removal of magnetically attracting material by magnetic compartment using second magnetic flux density, which is higher than first magnetic flux density, from molding sand separated from casting by shot blasting; and removal by dry mechanical regeneration from molding sand substances including carbonized material adhered to surface of molding sand. Method is carried out in a system for regenerating molding sand, comprising a first magnetic separation equipment for removing metal powder and metal fragments by magnetic separation using first magnetic flux density from molding sand separated from casting by shot blasting; second magnetic separation equipment for removing magnetically attracted material from the molding sand by magnetic separation using second magnetic flux density higher than the first magnetic flux density; and equipment for mechanical regeneration for removal by dry mechanical regeneration from molding sand of substances containing carbonized material adhered to surface of molding sand.

EFFECT: technical result is higher efficiency of separation of magnetically attracted material from molding sand.
