FIELD: use of air flows for screening.
SUBSTANCE: modular thermal air curtain is installed in the building gate horizontally at the upper jet supply, vertically with one-way or with two-way supply of the jet, includes a heater, fan, air ducts, air intake switching valve, air distributor arranged vertically or horizontally relative to the opening. Air distributor consists of modules with length of up to 1 m, at the same time the number of air distributor modules cover the length of the door opening as to height or width depending on the installation method in the gate opening. Each module is made in the form of built-in hollow cylindrical surfaces, wherein internal fixed housing has the shape of cylindrical sector with value of section of 72–75°, and outer surface of module is made in form of cylindrical sector with cut to width of 200 mm along its length and with installed on outer housing surface and tightly adjacent to it guides along entire length, adjusting width of slot, with guide nozzles fixed at ends of guides, forming flat air jet, width of slot varies by movement of guides along surface of external cylinder with value from 50 to 200 mm, and outer cylinder of module has a sector of rotation relative to internal fixed housing of cylinder by angle of 72–75° and is limited by cut on inner fixed cylinder housing, at that, the guides extreme positions are limited by the internal fixed cylinder cutting edges and the spring cylinder cutting edges, and the air distributor fixed airframe housing is oriented relative to its central axis and the plane parallel to the gate opening so, that the angle between this plane and the plane formed by the central cylinder axial line and the central cylinder cut edge line, makes 60°, outward facing the building, and 12–15° to inner premises of the building. Direction of the air jet vector is changed by turning the outer surface of the module relative to the fixed central cylinder within 72–75°.
EFFECT: modular thermal air curtain is proposed for protection of gate openings with variable vector of air jet direction and adjustable width of sliding-blade and mixing type.
