ALTERNATING CURRENT LED WITH HYBRID LED CHANNELS Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC H05B33/08

Abstract RU 2716707 C2

FIELD: lighting.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a LED lighting system driven by alternating current (AC), primarily based on the principle of a linear driver with taps. Result is achieved by providing a light-emitting diode (LED) lighting system (1) comprising a chain (ST), comprising a plurality of light-emitting diode (LED) elements (10) operably connected to an alternating voltage source (20) configured to supply an input voltage (Vi) on said chain (ST), wherein the chain (ST) comprises a plurality of segments (S1, S2, S3, …), and each segment (S1, S2, S3, …) comprises at least one or more of said light-emitting diode (LED) elements (10), wherein the LED lighting system (1) is configured to connect the first segment (S1) in the chain (ST) between and with the input by the input voltage (Vi) when said input voltage (Vi) is greater than the first threshold, and connect first segment (S1) and second segment (S2) in a chain between and with actuation by input voltage (Vi) when said input voltage (Vi) is greater than a second threshold which is greater than said first threshold, wherein each LED element (10) comprises LED (100) configured to generate blue LED radiation (101), said first segment (S1) comprising LED element (210) comprising a second photoluminescent material, wherein LED element (210) comprising the second photoluminescent material comprises (a) light-emitting diode (100) and (b) a second photoluminescent material (230) configured to convert at least a portion of said LED light (101) to a second converted light (231) in visible range, and wherein said second photoluminescent material (230) has a second converted radiation (231) attenuation time of less than 1 ms, and said second segment (S2) comprises LED elements (110) comprising a first photoluminescent material, each of which comprises (a) light-emitting diode (100) and (b) a first photoluminescent material (130) adapted to convert at least a portion of said LED radiation (101) to a first converted radiation (131) in the visible range, and wherein said first photoluminescent material (130) has the first converted radiation (131) attenuation time only in range of 1-500 ms.

EFFECT: reduced amount of components of electric power supply and reduced flicker of emitted light.
