FIELD: turning; drilling.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a mechanism for supporting a facetted rod for securing a bar in cassettes of multi-spindle bar lathes. Base of the mechanism consists in needle bearings (2) in which inner bushings (1) are installed, which hole corresponds to bar cross-section. Side clearance is 1.5–2 mm. In fact, inner bushing rotates together with rolling bodies of bearings. Internal spacer bushings (5) and locking screws (6) prevent rotation of internal bushings relative to each other. Bearing outer ring is centred in double-resistant bushing. Its inner cage (3) is made of rubber, and outer cage (4) is made from plastic of vinyl plastic type, polyamide. Entire set is put on the bar and then installed in housing (8).
EFFECT: technical result consists in providing fixation of faceted (square and hexagonal) rods of large size (key for more than 25 mm) in automatic lathes.
