FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: claimed group of inventions relates to production of biopreparations used in agriculture for increasing productivity of plants. Disclosed are a composition for increasing crop capacity, containing a microbial consortium deposited in the ATCC under registration number PTA-12751, a method for biodegradation of chitin-containing biological material and a method for increasing yield of agricultural plants. Method for biodegradation of chitin-containing biological material involves treatment of chitin-containing material with a composition containing a consortium. Crop yield increase method envisages contacting soil, plants or parts of plants with a composition containing microbes.
EFFECT: group of inventions increases yield of agricultural plants, increases production of food, as well as reduces potentially hazardous herbicides, insecticides and fungicides.
