SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to vane pumps and can be used at NPP in main circulating pumping units of the first circuit of heat carrier of nuclear power plant. Device to prevent damage of end seals of main circulating pump unit includes half-clutch. Outer surface of half-coupling is made in the form of cone, above which there is a ring with internal cone surface with possibility of gap formation. Ring is fixed on the body of the pump unit; the inner conical surface of the ring is made with an inclination angle coinciding with the angle of inclination of the cone of the half-coupling. There is also a method of repairing the main circulating pump unit.

EFFECT: group of inventions makes it possible to reduce the repair time with the possibility of dismantling the engine in case of pressure in the first circuit of the reactor and to enable fixation of the pump during transportation without additional accessories.
