SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, in particular to cultivation of leguminous crops, and can be used with increasing productivity and quality of crops. Method for increasing productivity and quality of a winter vetch includes treatment of vetch seeds with a mixture of strains of Pseudomonas 17-1 VNIISHM 622D and Sphingobacterium spiritivorum 38-22 VNIISHM 620D, into which Albit biopreparation is added in preset amounts. Seeds treatment is carried out at 3–4 hours exposure, and during branching phase plants are sprayed with 300 ml of mixture per 250 l of water.

EFFECT: invention increases yield and nitrogen-fixing capacity of the winter vetch.
