FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed are various embodiments of an exhalation valve and a filtering face mask, which includes such an exhalation valve. Exhalation valve comprises a valve seat comprising a first main surface, a second main surface, a working opening located between the first and second main surfaces of the valve seat, and an axis of the valve seat extending between the first end and the second end of the valve seat, wherein working opening has substantially round shape in plane defined by valve seat first surface, wherein valve seat additionally comprises sealing surface and flap fastening surface, each of which is located on first main valve seat surface, wherein sealing surface envelopes working opening and has, in fact, a non-round shape in plane defined by first valve seat main surface. Valve gate is located above sealing surface and working window and comprises first end connected to flap fastening surface, wherein valve flap is made so that it tightly adjoins sealing surface of valve seat when exhalation valve is closed position, which prevents passage of gaseous medium through valve seat, wherein the second end of the valve flap is configured to be spatially spaced from the seal surface when the exhalation valve is in the open position, whereby the gaseous medium can pass through the valve seat, and, in addition, the valve flap has a curved shape in a plane perpendicular to the first main surface of the valve seat, when the valve is in the closed position, wherein flap fastening surface is located in close proximity to first end of valve seat, wherein sealing surface comprises trapezoidal part and elliptic part connected to trapezoidal part, wherein elliptical part is located in close proximity to flap fastening surface wherein valve fastening second end tightly adjoins trapezoidal part of seal surface when exhalation valve is in closed position.

EFFECT: exhalation valve and respirator with exhalation valve are described.
