FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to method of application of powder insulating coating on non-working parts of electrodes-tools and devices for electrochemical treatment of metals and alloys, in particular, for production of shaped and shaped recesses, grooves and holes. Insulating coating used is a powdered primer coated with non-working parts of a shaped electrode-tool or appliance in a coating application chamber by an electrostatic precipitation method. Further, applied layer of powdered primer is heat treated, and then electrodes-tools or appliances in heated condition are placed in sealed container, into which compressed air is supplied to pressure of 6–10 bar for polymerization.
EFFECT: high resistance and quality of the insulating powder coating.
