FIELD: rail vehicles.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of locking pointer switch. System comprises sensors for monitoring the presence of a mobile unit, a network for transmitting data from sensors, a device for processing data received from sensors, and actuating element with possibility of opening of working chain of pointer engine when receiving from sensors information on presence of movable unit in zone of pointer drive. First sensor is located in rail track in front of switch prisms near cross-piece, second is in track of straight track, third is in track of side track, sensors are connected to a data processing unit, which is connected to the actuator unit and a means for determining the presence of current in the operating circuit of the arrow switching engine, which is a current sensor built into the handler locking device and transmitting information to the data processing unit. Processing unit opens the drive operating circuit when receiving data on presence of rolling stock in movable part of moving unit from sensors and sends a command to prohibit the opening of the drive operating circuit when receiving data from the current detection means before obtaining data from the current detection means in the control circuit of the switch switching device, which corresponds to the switch extreme position.

EFFECT: possibility to ensure disconnection of working circuit of arrow switching before its beginning at approach of rolling stock to zone of switch gear and prohibition of disconnection of working chain at start of switch movement at occurrence of rolling stock in zone of switch at the moment of time after start of switch movement.
