SUBSTANCE: invention relates to environmental technology, mainly to mining industry, and can be used for ventilation of open pits and for increasing efficiency of installations for cleaning air from dust, increasing volume of cleaned space and in devices for their implementation. Method includes suction of air surrounding the installation through a unit for supply of dusty air, its supply to the cyclone chamber with dust collectors, swirling and cleaning of air from dust in it and direction of cleaned air into the ventilation pipe. At that, dusty air is sucked and simultaneously swirled around the axis of supply unit along the entire perimeter of its radial inlet, dust swirling is accelerated as it approaches the supply unit axis, swirling dust-laden air is rotated from radial direction to vertical axis along supply unit, is directed into cyclone chamber with dust collector, into fan converting mechanical energy into potential and kinetic energy of translational and rotational movement of air, and then part of air is supplied to ventilation pipe, and part is sent with high speed of translatory-rotary motion to inlet of supply unit along annular slotted convergent channel formed by shells of cyclone dust collector dust chamber and radial inlet of dusty air supply unit.

EFFECT: technical result consists in efficient cleaning of the air released from the working area by achieving, at the specified dimensions of the installation, maximum possible area of the inlet header of the dusty air supply unit, as well as use of ejection of air flow supply unit rotating along perimeter of radial inlet of air jet supply unit, creating "tornado" effect around installation due to diffusion of vorticity.
