SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of vibration damping devices and to methods for damping helicopter propellers vibration. Damping device (15, 15', 15'', 15'''), designed to withstand transmission of vibrations to additional element (6), comprises beam element (22), which passes mainly parallel to axis (A), is limited by additional element (6) and is designed with possibility of flexing flexibly in plane parallel to axis (A) to resist transfer of vibrations to additional element (6), actuator (30), which comprises transmitting element (32, 32'', 32'''), functionally connected to beam element (22) and passing mainly along axis (A). Actuator (30) is controlled to apply a straight stretching or compressing load along axis (A) to transmitting element (32, 32'', 32''').
EFFECT: possibility to effectively resist transfer of vibrations having variable frequency range.
