FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing cyclohexanone and cyclohexanol which are semi-products in the synthesis of caprolactam. Method consists in liquid-phase oxidation of cyclohexane at temperature 130–160 °C and pressure of 9–15 atm in the presence of a catalyst for cobalt naphthenate solution with concentration of 0.1–0.006 wt% per cobalt in a four-section barbotage reactor with introduction of catalyst into the first in the direction of flow of process flow section of bubbling reactor. Catalyst used is a solution of cobalt naphthenate in cyclohexanone and / or cyclohexanol, and the process is carried out with additional introduction of sodium bromide in the second, third and fourth sections of the reactor with molar ratio [sodium bromide]:[cobalt naphthenate] equal to 1:5–1:10.
EFFECT: disclosed method increases selectivity of the process by cyclohexanone and cyclohexanol to 96½ %.
